Don't get me wrong here, people. I am not calling for a Revolution in the classic, armed conflict sort of way. I am calling for a Revolution in the voting booth. Democrats and Republicans alike are pulling the wool over our eyes and stealing out of our pantries. They are constantly causing Americans to bicker amongst each other about pretty petty issues so they can pass more and more tyrannical laws without notice.
It's time to throw all of them out of Congress and start with a fresh batch who will return our country to the kind of rule that our Constitution set out. Small government. Self reliance. Personal responsibility. Personal and Governmental Accountability.
Sir, I sincerely hope you are right, and that a peaceful Revolution can take place. My fear is that our "Ruling Class" isn't listening. Countless Townhalls and Tea Parties have our leaders labeling us as teabaggers, right wing extremists, hate mongers, racist, etc.
ReplyDeleteIf they chose to ignore us after the midterm elections, I fear they do so at their own peril.
King George made the same mistake when dealing with the colonists. He over taxed them, over regulated them, then dismissed their dissent. The colonists believed they had no other recourse, but to take up arms against the crown. It was their last resort.
I invite everyone to reread the Declaration of Indepence. Substitute the words "England", and "King George" with "Federal Government". The grievances are the same.
Like you, I do not advocate armed conflict. Lets hope it never comes to that.
It's Washington's move. Will history repeat itself?
