A story about how 2009 has been the most profitable year ever for K Street lobbyists. No doubt about that, but as is the style of HuffPo they have once again quoted an unnamed source for their damning testimony.
"Republican lobbyist put it more bluntly:
"This agenda has been great for OUR economy," he said. "We get paid to get Republicans pissed off at Democrats, which they rightfully are. It's the easiest thing in the world. It's like getting paid to get you to love your mother. Everyone, Republican and even some Democratic lobbyists are laughing at Obama on their way to the bank.""
Otherwise all of the commentary is quoted by actual Democrat operatives. I guess they just made up the anonymous quote above. I think anyone with half a brain could have seen through this hogwash. All the lobbying that I have seen this year has been going on inside the White House making closed door deals with the Obama administration. Need a reminder of Big Pharma making deals for the Healthcare bill? How about Andy Stern from SEIU who is in the White House weekly? There is overwhelming evidence out there that shows the Obama administration pandering to special intrests. Just because they say it aint so doesn't make it that way.
