Obama is already working well outside of his Constitutional authority in many areas. We have some 42 "Czars" running a bureacracy outside of Congress, we have 6 or 7 "military actions" (Wars) going on without Congressional approval, the new UnConsititutional 12 person "Super Congress" to propose all spending bills, enough Executive Orders to wall paper the Library of Congress and now the president has finally come out and admitted that he wishes he didn't have a Congress.
Facing growing opposition to his economic proposals and dimming prospects that Congress will pass other parts of his agenda, President Obama told a Hispanic group in Washington Wednesday that when it comes to the issue of immigration, "I'd like to work my way around Congress."
"As I mentioned when I was at La Raza a few weeks back, I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own," Obama told a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. "There are times where -- until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again -- I'd like to work my way around Congress."

A Bold Step Towards Dictatorship
As reported today in the Wall Street Journal, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) proves once again that there isn't a dime's worth of difference between Big Government Democrats and Big Government Republicans. Mr. McConnell would love to settle the Debt Ceiling and Spending problems by simply breaking from the Constitution and giving the purse to Obama.

We, as Americans, need to stand up now and draw a line in the sand. This is not a Left/Right issue, it's not a Liberal/Conservative issue. This is an American problem. We must force Congress and The President to abide by the Enumerated Powers of The Constitution of These United States. And we must do it now.

How important is the issue of electronic voting? David Chastain, Libertarian candidate for GA Sec of State has an idea.
So, how important is the issue and potential problem of electronic voting?
In a Washington Post news article today it was reported that hackers had broken into the DC online voting trial. Just one more reason electronic voting in general is suspect.
Unverifiable electronic voting is now only available in 3 states, Georgia being one of them. No paper trail, no written record of your vote.
David Chastain, Libertarian candidate for Secretary of State in Georgia has built his campaign on this issue.
"I am alarmed that almost 1% of electronic ballots cast in Georgia are blank, or undercounted. I am gravely concerned about the electronic voting systems we use in Georgia. When one realizes that we are one of only three states with state-wide unverifiable electronic voting, one must wonder - why?" - says his website. Mr. Chastain went to the archives and searched for 1 issue ballots, simple yes/no votes, in Georgia over the last several years since electronic voting machines have been used and found that in not one, single election did the tally of number of votes cast balance to zero with the number of yes plus number of no votes. His research shows across the board the margin of error to be .8% on average.
How many major elections are won by a margin of .8% or less? How about the 2000 Florida ballot that ultimately decided the presidential election with a total .01% margin?
How about the election of Al Franken to the US Senate which was decided by a margin of .001%
Those elections are deciding policy makers for millions of people. Think it's important now?

Preserve and Protect
You may think that I am speaking about the Oath of Office; sworn by millions of Americans. But it's worded slightly differently. "Uphold and Defend" is the way that the Oath reads. The following should, however, carry the same weight at a personal level.
I'm talking about Preserving and Protecting your personal "wealth" and that of those you hold most dear to your heart. Be it large or small. Be what it may, is no matter. It is yours and yours alone. It does not belong to the Federal Government, or God forbid, The Federal Reserve Bank. (though both will try to wrest it from you) .
Since it's inception, the FED (Federal Reserve Bank) has been working diligently to steal every dime you earn and make you an "interest slave" to the banking industry. All the while our Federal Government (FGov't) has also been making you a "tax slave"; both nefarious schemes arrived on the scene during the Wilson administration. Odd. (Wilson, an avowed "progressive" i.e. communist, and racist doesn't quite fit the mold of today's Democrat, but I digress, or do I) . Since the inception of the FED in 1913 , the US Dollar, which had a fixed value, based on the Coinage Act of 1792, has lost 98% of it's value. How does that happen? Well, the FED pumps money into the economy by means of Fiat Creation, resulting in an inflated money supply, which is of course, actual Inflation.
The Coinage Act of 1792, set an exact rate of exchange for Dollars to Gold and Silver. If the Treasury of the USA had enough gold and silver to back all of the dollars printed on paper, then a stable currency existed. Today, that is absolutely not the case, by a ratio of nearly 45:1. There is approximately 45 times as much paper in circulation as there is gold in reserve.
Gold and silver have specific historical commodity value. In ancient Rome, a "gold coin" (which for the sake of argument we will call an ounce) would buy a fine suit of clothes or 300 loaves of bread. Today, with gold at $1300 per ounce, it still has exactly the same purchasing power or commodity value. The dollar, however is falling fast.
In 1909, when the dollar was tied to gold, that commodity and the dollar where one and the same. Gold, $21/oz. The Dollar was "worth it's weight in gold". A 1909 Ford Sedan was $850 or 40 oz of gold. Today a comparable automobile, the height of fashion, new to market, and the height of technology is relatively the same price. Take a BMW 3 series auto. Really kind of run of the mill, by comparison to the level of technology in 1909 terms, but still 40 oz of Gold.
If you want to "Preserve and Protect" there is only one way. Precious metals of historical commodity value. Gold or Silver.
But, if you buy gold and silver, you must do one thing. Take delivery. Never buy paper promises of gold and silver on demand.

Thousands of Nonprofits may be shut down by new tax law
More than 200,000 small nonprofits across the nation are days away from losing their tax-exempt status because they haven't filed a new form with the Internal Revenue Service.
"Many of these groups already operate on razor-thin budgets and some worry an unexpected tax bill could force organizations to close.
"The nonprofits in your backyards, some of them are going to be gone," said Suzanne Coffman, a spokeswoman for GuideStar, which tracks data on nonprofits.
It's most likely the nonprofits aren't aware of the Monday deadline that only applies to groups that report $25,000 or less in income, excluding churches. Those organizations may not find out until Jan. 1, 2011, when they're notified they have to pay taxes on donations they thought were exempt. And it could be months before their nonprofit status is restored."
Am I the only one who sees this for what it is? The government is forcing all private aid societies to lose their nonprofit status, either to force them onto the tax rolls or to shut them down. Either way the government wins and liberty loses. By shutting them down the government forces higher taxation of all individuals and assumes some of the role of the nonprofits. This, of course, leads to less individual wealth across the board, more inefficient bureaucracy and less service to the needy at a higher cost to all. The other option is that nonprofits who are already on a very thin budget are forced to pay taxes and offer less service to those in need.
Either way, the only winner is government, and the big loser is those who need the services provided by the nonprofits.

The nanny state is growing
There is now a bill before Congress, introduced by Rep Ron Kind (D-WI), to monitor the Body Mass Index of all American children between the ages of 2-18 to stem the rate of obesity in children. Or so they say. More nanny state regulation is all this amounts to.
People no longer even want to be personally responsible for their, or their own children's health. They want the state to take over that function for them.
This bill would also move the nutritional information box from the back or side of a a package to the front, so it can be seen while you scan the shelves. I assume because any consumer is too stupid to pick up a box of cereal or can of beans, turn it around and read the nutritional information and make a choice of whether to buy it or not. Does anyone read the nutritional information now? I doubt that the people in question either read or understand any of that information as it is. So what does moving it to the front do for you? It reduces advertising space for the manufacturer of the product. We wouldn't want capitalism or profitability to get in the way of reading nutritional information, now would we.

This penalty will likely be waived by those below the poverty line (who also have the highest incidence of childhood obesity) and will only be another tool of the Marxist regime's wealth redistribution scheme.

By 2007, seven years after leaving the White House, the Clintons had earned a combined $109 million (£73 million) through speaking engagements and bestselling memoirs. Even so, apparently they would prefer American voters to settle Mrs Clinton’s remaining $771,000 debt rather than paying it themselves.
Seriously? They earned $109 million and won't pay off the $771K she still owes? Obviously, the typical statists they are, they would rather someone else pay it off for them. What a pompous ass. Would anyone really want to spend the day with that creep?
