If you think the Arizona law is intrusive....

Democrats, who are up in arms over the apparent infringement of civil rights by Arizona's new anti-illegal immigration enforcement law, are calling for a new National ID Card. This new ID card would be complete with some sort of bio-metric information stored on an RFID chip in the card. Every "worker" in the country would be required to posess such a card and every employer would have to install equipment to read both the card and the corresponding bio-info from the "worker", i.e. a finger print or iris scanner.
Talk about a violation of Rights! This would put the Federal Government in charge of who is allowed to work and who isn't, you would likely have to have permission from them to take a day off. Does this not put the Federal Government in charge of the labor pool for all industry, public and private? This would put an undue burden on all employers by forcing them to install expensive scanning equipment. Can you imagine the beauracracy that will be created to manage the data base? What else will they do with the information? Will it be tracked with your medical records? What about privacy now?
Welcome to 1984.....or is it Revelation?
